Concert Venues:

PNC Art Center (artscenter.com) , The PNC Arts Center (formerly Garden State Arts Center) has great 'big name' musical entertainment all summer long. It is about 35 minutes from the Sea Crest but well worth the trek for the likes of the Beach Boys, James Taylor, B.B. King, and Rod Stewart.

The Great Audiorium in Ocean Grove (oceangrove.org), 10 minutes away is a grand old place for summertime entertainment. With a variety of shows, it is closeby and in a great little town for eating and browsing. There are organ recitals on many Wednesdays and Saturdays; Peter, Paul and Mary on Aug 25, a classical series, and much, much more!

Spring Lake's own Concerts in the Park, every Tuesday night in the summer. Take a beach chair and enjoy the outdoor music. Finnish the evening with homemade ice cream at Susan Murphy's or Hoffman's ice cream parlors - they are the very best at the Shore.

Rock & Roll:

The Stone Pony, (thestonepony.com), Rock & Rolls #1 Club is back and better than ever.

Headliner, Hwy 35, Neptune. Always live great acts.

Bar Anticipation, 16th Ave, Belmar. Jersey Shore at its best. Sit outside Bar A and take in the sounds. It's savage. It's raw. It's rock & roll Jersey Shore style.

Parker House, 1st Ave, Sea Girt. This place has been here forever. Treat yourself. Just don't slip on the beer on the floor of the cellar bar. If you get lost, just ask for Chris. He will be your personal guide.

The Porch, Warren Ave and Hwy 71, Spring Lake Hgts. You gotta love it. It's packed with people. Live music. Good food. It's hard to beat. If you're stuck, look for Chris.

Old Mill Inn, Old Mill Road, Spring Lake Hgts.

The Norwood Inn, Norwood Avenue, Avon. The gathering place for low-key local music. Fun place. Go, relax with friends. 507 Main Street, Belmar. Great individual pizzas, outdoor patio. Local bands.  

McCann's, Belmar. Small, warm neighborhood bar with pool tables, darts, good drinks and unbelievable steaks cooked right behind the bar. If the tables are taken, grab a seat at the bar.  

Brandl, Belmar. Fine dining and live jazz on Friday evenings.  

Giamanno's, Main Street, Bradley Beach. Good Italian food. Jazz every Friday and Saturday upstairs.
